Project Detail
After upgrading the first section of the Matilda Bay footpath, Allday Construction again won the tender to complete the north section of footpath along Hackett Drive to J.H. Abrahams Reserve.
This section consisted of 344lm of footpath but a larger component of earthworks where banks required shaping and contouring to raise the footpath above the ground water level to prevent future flooding. Turf was relayed to DEC standards and public hand rails were supplied and installed at the entrance to the path.
Public safety was a primary objective and so the construction site was fenced off by means of red plastic mesh bunting around the entire site, with all star pickets and metal stakes on the perimeter and within the formwork to sport yellow plastic caps.
